These poems are about being the best version of yourself while also helping others to be the best version of themselves. I’ve been told that “if you don’t step forward, you’re always in the same place.” That saying resonates with me.
I spent over one hour in total driving today and traveled to my girlfriend, Heidi’s house. As someone who is a defensive but extremely anxious driver, I have put a limitation on myself for the past ten years.
I’ve avoided major highways out of fear, but as I’ve been working hard in therapy and on my goals, I’ve taken the first step in pushing past that fear.
Whether you’re doing something for yourself or for a loved one, it’s important to assess your goals often. Caring for others and being part of a bigger community inspires me!
